New Zealand Leaders
Takashi (Tak) Tada is NEC NZ’s managing director, with overall responsibility for the local operation and its progression to new technologies and markets.
Joining NEC in 1998, Tak has worked across a spectrum of NEC’s ICT offerings, from telecommunications and broadcasting infrastructure to government and enterprise solution services.
Following his early career in Japan, Tak spent two years working in the Philippines, four years in Singapore, and over two years in Australia. New Zealand is his fourth posting.
Tak has worked in NEC business operations, including sales and business development, new business incubation, M&A, corporate strategies and planning, marketing, and corporate communications.
Tak completed an MBA at Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, in 2010.
Tak is married with two boys. In his spare time he enjoys family life in New Zealand, and watches Formula One racing and tennis matches.
David Tse heads up sales and marketing for NEC New Zealand. He spends his time between NEC offices in Auckland and Wellington, directing sales and marketing activity supporting business units, including fast-emerging smart city and public safety sectors.
David joined NEC NZ from Spark Digital, where he spearheaded Spark’s business unit for energy, health, and local government sectors. He’s a popular figure in local IT circles, having spent three decades in sales and marketing for leading ICT vendors, including IBM, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Logical, and Eagle Technology Group.
David also serves on a number of community and technology boards, including Aktive (Auckland Sport & Recreation), NZ Asian Leaders and NZ Health IT.
